Use Elliman Edge for Video

Property videos always appear on the listing page.

Property videos always appear on the listing page.

Once you approve your Douglas Elliman property video, we deliver the video to Elliman. Within the next few hours, the video will be viewable on the listing page. In addition, the video is automatically posted to Elliman's YouTube channel.

Edge users can highlight their videos in 2 more places on the Elliman site.

Through Edge, the video will appear in the Videos tab at the top of your site.

Through Edge, the video will appear in the Videos tab at the top of your site.

Through Edge, the video will appear next to the listing on the home page of your site.

Through Edge, the video will appear next to the listing on the home page of your site.

Log in. Click on "Website", “Videos", then "Add Video".

The following screen asks for

  • Title (Property Address)
  • Video Type ("Listings")
  • Listing ID
  • Embed Code*
  • Thumbnail (Property Photo)

Make sure that the "Publish" option is selected, and click "add video”.

Embed Code

We recommend that you share the video from your own YouTube channel. If you do not have your own YouTube channel, you can instead get the embed code from the video on the Douglas Elliman YouTube channel.

On YouTube, click “share” beneath the video, then “embed”. Copy and paste the code under the embed code section.

The video should post instantly. Check your Elliman home page beside the listing and the Videos tab to verify that it posted correctly.

  1. Iif you already had the home page open before you posted, you will need to refresh the webpage to see the added video.
  2. Some users report that the video shows up in the Videos tab, but not beside the listing. This occurs if Edge did not properly link the listing ID to the video. To fix: Go back to Edge > Website > Videos. You’ll see your posted videos. On the right side, click the “Edit” button.  Re-enter the ID. Some ID’s are used for more than one listing in the Elliman system, so select the proper address if it offers you options. Then click “Add Video” again.

Save Videos to Mobile Devices

There are several reasons why you might wish to save a video directly to your phone. The most common reason is to post the video to Instagram, which does not allow posting from a computer.

The 2 most common ways we deliver Instagram files are through email attachments (iCloud Drive attachments if the file is too big for your email provider) or via Google Drive.

  • Don’t add filters.
  • Don’t trim the video.
  • Don’t post widescreen videos as square instagram posts.
  • Don’t post full videos that weren’t intended for Instagram (it must be under 60 seconds).
  • Don't use the share option for Facebook/Twitter. Instead, post the video directly to those platforms for best results.
